From Filibustering the "PATRIOT" Act to Declassifying 9/11 Top Secret Documents

(U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R) of Kentucky)
Last week, the heat on Capitol Hill regarding the debate over the U.S. "PATRIOT" Act was thick enough to cut with a butter knife. Many key provisions of the PATRIOT Act expired Sunday May 31, 2015 due to U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R) of Kentucky spending not just hours, but days successfully filibustering the PATRIOT Act on the Senate Floor while many of us were still recovering from Memorial Day Weekend celebrations. Now, Paul has set his sights on a "root" of this problem if you will. He is now targeting 28 top secret pages withheld from the 9/11 Commission Report alleged to incriminate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for involvement in the events and establishing a "chain of liability."

The only official with the authority to sign off on declassifying these 28 pages classified under the Bush Jr. presidential administration is the current incumbent, President Barack Obama. These 28 pages will identify who had what role and how they might have sponsored or aided in the events. This has been a bipartisan effort with years in the making to include U.S. Representatives Thomas Massie (R) from Kentucky and Stephen Lynch (D) of Massachusetts, etc., whom have already read these pages. What these Congressmen express is the need for these pages to be declassified by the White House because what the media, the White House, and every 3-letter U.S. Government agency has promulgated over time is alleged to outright contradict black and white top secret documents tucked away in a sound-proof room under lock and key protected by armed guards.
