U.S. & Russia Form Treaty on Syria: No Military Strikes!

Sergei Lavrov at Left, Kerry to Right
We have been hearing about it all September long regarding President Barack Obama's, Secretary John Kerry's, and Senator John McCain's planned military response for Syria. Obama even made a couple of public statements regarding a possible military strike against the Syrian government and Kerry issued a threat earlier this week to "give up their weaponry...or else" within one week.

One day short of decisive military action, Secretary John Kerry and Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov shook hands over a deal to work together with the United Nations in an effort to peacefully and civilly rid Syria of chemical weapons by Summer 2014. This comes after mass protest rallies from all over the planet, both liberals and conservatives in Congress, the Syrian Parliament, and other foreign diplomatic authorities chastising the administration over the prospect of international law violations if Obama did sent military in to forcefully extract whatever might appear suspicious all under the auspice of chemical weapons of mass destruction. (Sounds like folks got smarter after the Iraq invasion in 2003.)

While most of the U.S. corporate media facilitated the war drums under the banner of "failed diplomacy," we cannot dispute the fact that even after the formation of this new treaty that the U.S. ultimately lost much respect from the rest of the world over these shenanigans.
