U.S. Sending $150 Million to Gaza

After a week of hostilities between Israel and Gaza U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, said that Israel has full American support and will work with Israel through these trifling times. The United States has always been one of Israel's greatest cheerleaders, but something of a "doublespeak," if you will, has surfaced.

The United States government has now signed off on $150 million in funding to the Hamas-supported Gaza for "humanitarian aid." There is no clearly defined channel to ensure the $150 million gets to this humanitarian aid spoken of, but the United States is sending $150 million in taxpayer dollars to aid in Palestinian recovery while publicly announcing unwavering "support for Israel."

Clinton is currently working with both Israel and Gaza leadership to facilitate not only a cease-fire, but a "truce" to end Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unless there is a peace treaty between Gaza and Israel as was planned before the assassination of Hamas military leader, Jabari, last week, there will be next to nothing accomplished outside of a possible cease-fire.
