Recreational Use of Marijuana Legalized

The heat of Election Day 2012 had many people sitting on the edge of their seats anticipating the end of the Presidential race. In addition to choosing the best candidate for President of the United States, people were also prompted to vote on State legislation including California's Measure B, which requires pornographic actors to wear condoms, or the State of Colorado and Washington's passing of legalizing the recreation use of marijuana.

You read that right. Not only did California voters vote to have condoms mandated in the porn industry, but voters of the States of Colorado and Washington passed the recreational use of marijuana. But, what about federal laws you ask? It is still illegal. If a federal agent stops anybody in the States's of Colorado or Washington, those individuals can and will be prosecuted to the fullest extend of federal penal codes in a federal court. What is the point in a State proposition then if it still illegal at the federal level you ask? Quite simply, this is what you would call a "dragnet" and these are allowed by governments to pool the ignorance of the masses together and put them in a tough legal situation where if they are at the wrong place at the wrong time, that could be used against them such as in the case of fishing.

The rest of the United States will be looking to these two States as pioneering examples of the modern-day and how their economies might grow from the hemp industry compared to those who have not legalized the recreational use of marijuana yet.
